If I was a terrorist, I wouldnt waste a perfectly good bomb on a bridge. For one thing, it wouldnt bring the bridge down, it would kill relatively few people, and most importantly, there wouldnt be an entire day of tv memorials a year from the day a bridge was blown up.

While they may be resourceful in their evil, the scope of their vision seems to be very limited and they appear quite incapable of understanding or second guessing us. Terrorists, by definition, do not see or deal with things in a conventional manner.

Where exactly is the skyway bridge. It's been decades since I've been to South Florida, though my brother lives there.

My guess is Miami could be a target because of the Jewish population. I don't think they'd want to mess with Cubans.

I would think in order to bring it down you would need to place shaped charges around the main bridge supports on both sides of the bridge, that would take alot of time and wouldnt go unnoticed at rush hour. Either that or a really really big bomb.

I did a quick FR title search on Miami and back in July, it seems that a man believed to Sadam Hussiens step-son was arrested in Miami on a visa violation (he had gotten a waiver)....he was planning on going to flight school.
