News: Speeches and Releases

On August 13, the President hosted the President's Economic Forum at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

The meeting brought together government policy makers, small investors, small business owners, industry experts, teachers, workers, business ethicists, union members, corporate executives, economists, business students, academics, researchers and others to discuss the fundamentals of the economy and the President's agenda to increase economic growth for the future.

The President's Economic Forum featured breakout and discussion sessions on key economic issues. Each session involved approximately 30 participants with diverse points of view, panels and was chaired by a senior government official, and each panel included guest speakers with special expertise in the panel's subject matter.

The President believes that economic freedom is the foundation for individual success and prosperity. Because of the resiliency and determination of the American people, our Nation is on track for sustained economic growth. However, the President will not be satisfied until every American who wants a job can find a job, and all Americans have economic security. The President's economic agenda invests in people by creating jobs, expanding opportunities to save and invest, providing a good education, and helping each American own part of the American dream.

I don't think we have to go so far down to his kids becoming President. If he wins in 04, there will be more misery for all of us.

Excuse me ... are you saying that if Bush is elected in 04, we're in for more misery??

You have to be kidding??

You didn't consider the last 8 years (the Clinton regime), to be the most horrible since the founding of our country??

Would you rather have Hillary in 04, or how about Gore?? I suppose you think they would do a much better job. If you think that - bless your darlin' heart, and don't bother answering.

I would rather have a Libertarian or a conservative Republican. I cannot survive four more years of compassionatism. I like to call it "killing me softly."

"Would you rather have Hillary in 04?"

By refusing to confront and repudiate the basic Left wing concepts which define public debate, by, in many cases, promoting the Left wing agenda, and by being affable instead of curmudgeonly, Bush is ensuring an eventual successful Hillary campaign for the White House.
