Police undercover operations to nab seatbelt resistors!

Glad to hear that Canada has stopped all murders, rapes and burlaries, and now has excess police manpower to spare on such vital issues.

What about the ASPCA?

While Sgt. Preston of the RCMP is doing this,
who is taking care of his lead dog King?

What I'd like to know, if anyone can answer is: what influence have insurance companies had on laws like this, particularly in the U.S.?

IOW, do the insurance giants lobby for these and other laws?

Revenue, revenue, revenue ! Occasionally our local police will do an ambush at schools. My son's school is small, and there's only one way to pull in. The cops will be up in the road a bit, positioned where you can't go anywhere but forward. They have gotten people for expired tags, no license, no insurance, no seatbelt, etc. God knows how much money they make harrassing harried parents trying to drop their kids off. Their fave time of year is the first day of school, popping people who park on the side of the road since there's hardly any parking. It really p***es me off. I have a hard time not feeling like I'm at a commie checkpoint !!!

You and me both. Not all that long ago if you were stopped for a minor infraction a cop would most likely give you a verbal warning if you acted civil. Now that has completely changed and is the exception rather than the rule with municipalities realizing there's gold in them thar tickets.

Wow. Didn't they teach you any of this in high school? Heh.

Certain individuals in Vancouver notwithstanding, the Queen in question would be Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, aka Elizabeth II.

Canada is a Constitutional Monarchy and Elizabeth is the soverign. Canada became a self governing dominion in the mid 1800's, and was eventually granted political independence in the 1930's, but she's still the Queen. She gets to have her picture on the dollar and on stamps. Canada remains a member of the Commonwealth, which Elizabeth is also the head of.

While Elizabeth II fulfills the role of head of state in Canada, Prime Minister Jean Chretien is the head of government. In the States, the President fulfills both roles, but in the parlimentary democracies it's common to divide the largely ceremonial role of head of state from the role of head of government.

Eilizabeth's official title with regard to Canada is-
Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith

Rolls right off the tounge, doesn't it? I have to admit, I had to look it up.

It's darn difficult to administer a commonwealth from so far away in this age of jet aircraft and instant satellite communications, so Elizabeth's go-to-guy on the scene is the Governor General. Currently, that is Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D.
Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada

Almost makes you want to sing "O Canada!"

Aren't you glad you asked?

"...Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the Vancouver suburb have been posing as the car window washers at major intersections in a bid to catch people who are breaking the law by not wearing seat belts when they drive. .."

Travis, you are a son-of-a-gun! You knew, that as a previous Canadian, I would laugh-my-ass-off at this silliness! Thanks, pal.

My only danger is that, when I cross the border this fall, to visit my sister and Dad, some retard-INS person is gonna ask me if I have any firearms.

When I reply: "Well, what do you need?", they're gonna rip our car to pieces!

Sometimes, I wish I had the eight hours to blow, pal!

Canada is on stupid-time now. The combination of Socialism and Bi-Culturasism diversity with the French has made it moribund.

I'll champion the war efforts of the lads in the Arab-Wastelands - They are Fellows-in-Arms, Good men and True, and Stouthearted-Men!

What happened to the Leadership, Travis? We had men like Teddy Roosevelt, and General George Patton before. True warriors!

We had political Generals in Viet-Nam, all through that stupid war, but we got great results with General Chuck Horner and General Shwartscoff (sp?) in the Gulf-War.

We need some Leaders!. We're in a war here, and we need Warrior mentality!

There are tons of data that connect Arab Nations (notice how I'm being real careful not to name Saudi Arabia) to the attacks on our Country.

'Saudi-Arabia' should have re-named 'Texico' twelve years ago, and the camel-bangers would be in Switzerland and this shit wouldn't even be happenning!

Of course, that's just my opinion! I could be right!...............FRegards

I am sorry, I just can't picture a mountie dressed up like a squeegee kid,

From the time I spent in Toronto and Vancouver I can testify that the squeegee kids are a pretty filthy bunch, we are talking San Fransisco class lowlifes here.

I always love reading your comments! If 9-11 wasn't enough shock therapy to wake us up to what's important, I can't imagine what it will take.

Beats me too, pal. If I fade in and out of conciousness, it's because of that cheap-ass bed in the Holiday Inn in Boca-Raton. We just had an FR FLA-FReeper meeting, I think.

My Dad turns 90 in October, I think, and we'll have to go through Canadian C&I to get there.

Many, many years ago, I was going to visit my brother at 2:30am, in Windsor, Ontario, and some dick-wad C&I prick told me:"Well, you just can't come here anytime you like!"

After I grabbed his tie and pulled his head through the vent window, I explained to him that I could enter Canada any bleeping time I wanted to, then jammed my Birth Certificate in his mouth, and pushed him out!

The next tier of troops did a perfunctory search of my van, and commented on what-an-asshole the guy was.

We're pretty-much on our own, pally. I armed my nieces and nephews there over the last 20 years. I won't try to pack into Canada, but I'll have my personal protection within 30 minutes of arrival.

We have to do it ourselves, bub! No Government is gonna protect us from the 'bad-guys'. That .50 calibre ammo is gonna be a problem, though(I just love lighting-up Carnivoire)!...........FRegards

I hope it never comes down to that, but if it does, better armed than unarmed.
