Pledge allegiance to the fraud: Jerry Falwell argues row was scam from get-go

Atheist firebrand Michael Newdow brought suit against the Pledge of Allegiance by proclaiming his 8-year-old daughter was offended by its recitation in her public-school classroom.

That entire case is a sham.

In a conversation with one of my staff members on Wednesday, Rich Chaffin, pastor of the Laguna Calvary Chapel Church, verified that the young girl actually attends Sunday school at his church and loves the Lord Jesus Christ. The little girl's mother is a Sunday school teacher there.

Furthermore, the girl's mother, Sandra Banning, has sent a statement to members of Congress that spells out the conniving of this father in the high-profile case.

"In her discussions with me, [my daughter] expressed sadness about the decision," said Banning. "I assured her that this was a long process and there were many steps before the Pledge would be changed and the words 'under God' removed. Hearing this, she told me that it was OK because she will still whisper 'one nation under God' and no one will hear her and know she is breaking the law," she said. Banning added that she was concerned that "the American public would be led to believe that my daughter is an atheist."

And why wouldn't the nation believe such a notion when that is what Mr. Newdow portrayed to be the reality of the case? My heart goes out to that little girl.

It is now apparent that this atheist glory hound has used his daughter to gain national prominence. He has used his daughter to promote his own godless agenda.

WorldNetDaily has now reported that as a result of this actuality, Michael Newdow is "attempting to reframe the basis of his lawsuit as injuring his right as a parent to direct the religious upbringing of his child." Mr. Newdow will apparently do anything – even manipulate his own daughter – in order to enact his personal quest for fame and leftist activism. His story always seems to be changing in this quest to kick God out of school. The Associated Press reported that he was trying to raise his daughter as an atheist, but now he denies even that allegation.

I wonder now if the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the American Atheists, liberal Hollywood and the rest of the crusaders of abject secularism will continue to rally behind this man.

The thing is, Mr. Newdow very well will fade into obscurity now, but other despisers of our nation's Judeo-Christian heritage and our history of reliance on God will come to the forefront to take up his battle. We have seen now that his legal challenge of "under God" in the Pledge now has judicial endorsement – at least at the loony 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. That court unbelievably found that the Pledge "sends a message to unbelievers that they are outsiders, not full members of the political community."

It's almost funny that men of esteem would actually write such a decision. But it's too tragic to laugh.

That ruling, should it stand, would actually prevent young students from reciting the present words of the Pledge in their classrooms.

What can we do?

What is heretical about personal accounts that a spiritual form of "life after death" is a factuality"?

The court is either CORRUPT or Incompetent.

Seriously, the court must be either CORRUPT or severely Incompetent. There are absolutely no other options possible. None. The reasoning behind this is crystal clear. Based upon what we know of their decision and the writings of the court, the Judges failed to properly investigate the primary issues involved. Not only that, but it appears that they failed to investigate ANY issues at all.

How can the court make a ruling (any ruling) involving a child without talking with the child?
Without talking to both parents?
Without talking to the School?
Without investigating the relationship of the parents?
Without noting the intent of the suite vrs what the stated intent was?

I'll tell you what, Judge Judy wouldn't conduct a proceeding like these nitwits! It is so mind blowing that the Judges failed to review this information that I can't help but come to the conclusion that they are either CORRUPT or Incompetent.

However, they could also be LAZY. Alternatively they could be drug addicts. Maybe they accepted bribes to rule on this case. That would make them felons. They could be Senile. They could be Communists. They could be doing any number of things...

But what they are not doing is being a JUDGE beyond reproach.

I am interested in the origin of this belief in soul energies and am curious about who discovered it, and what is the source of proof that soul energies exist? And what do you do with them if you have them? Is soul energy a science or religion? Can I direct my soul energies for my own use, or do I pretty much have to accept what they do on their own? This is a thread regarding Rev. Falwell's opinion on the Pledge of Allegiance 'Under God' case now under appeal.

What is this out-of-left-field, incoherent attack on a Christian minister have to do with what he stated in his opinion? Nothing that I can see.

Talking to dead bodies? Soul talking? This is totally off topic on this thread. If you don't like Jerry Falwell, fine, but take the 'soul-talking' gibberish somewhere else.

Far be it from me to carry water for the hopelessly out of touch 9th Circus Court of Appeals . . . (not my tag - borrowed from Neal Boortz), but the lack of investigation is NOT their fault, in this instance.

As I understand it, the trial court dismissed this action on a FRCP 12 (b) (6) motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim. The legal standard for such a motion to dismiss is that the pleadings UNDER ANY STATE OF FACTS PROVED fail to state a claim for which ANY legal relief may be granted.

In other words, this lawsuit was at the initial stage, when no witnesses have been examined, no discovery has been conducted, and the only issue before the trial court was whether the complaint, under any POSSIBLE state of facts, stated a recognizable claim. So we can't fault the court for failing to investigate the facts. Not time for that yet.

But of course the Ninth Circuit, with its usual lack of common sense and decorum, went WAY beyond the ruling required on appeal of a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim. The proper course would have been to reverse and remand without all the statements holding the Pledge unconstitutional. But naturally they never miss an opportunity to make themselves obnoxious to the rest of us.

I did not attack Rev. Falwell by name, nor was it intended.

Names like Roberts, Tilton and Bakker come to the forefront of "cash first, blessings second".

The Rev. Billy Graham is sincere, honest and should be revered for his efforts over the decades, unlike many others.

I will no longer converse with Biblical absolutists or literalists since it is a waste of bandwidth, even thought I have plenty.

Suffice it to say that if Jesus Christ arose from the dead (and I will not argue against that point, for I believe he may have), a form of energy was involved in that transformation, regardless of Biblical or secular nomenclature.

I have referenced THAT form of energy, nothing else. Regardless of the origin of the earth and life in general, some form of energy was necessary for those transactions of Adam & Eve or the amoebic cells to the forms of life we know and recognize today.

And for whomever mentioned "talking to the dead"...a better description may be "communication" from one side to the other, or do you not believe in any of God's angels as protectors throughout the centuries in the Bible as "Guardian Angels" of the innocent who survive death situations by miraculous intervention with no physical bodies involved?

It is either science (physics), or a form of divine intervention, and both are forms of energy that lifted that tree or car or whatever solid object threatening the life and limb of an innocent.

Until you have been part of such a revelation through personal experience, you are sorely sad to besmirch those who have.

The answer to your next accusational question is, "Yes, I have been, with my wife and one of my sons".

Expecting some to label me and mine "blasphemous", I say to you that you had better be very ready to answer the same questions some day at your time of reckoning you so fervently put forth to others.

That complaining is perceived as an odd envy for not being "chosen" or whatever, and that is truly sad.

The true faithful of the Christian religion do not have to run off at the mouth condemning any or all who they deem "not quite right for OUR style of faith".

True faithful Christians know in their hearts and souls that thought and deeds speak louder in the long run than all the proselytizing and condemnation of others at a high decibel level.

Tis a shame, but I expect this to be pulled... Hopefully not until it is read once or twice by real Christians.
