Don't get me wrong - their article last week got a lot of attention, but most people here get more info from watching the local newscasts (1. WSB; 2. WAGA; 3. WXIA; 4. WGCL) and listening to local radio (WSB; WGST & - distantly - WALR) sooner than reading the AJC.
The other local papers in town, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Creative Loafing, have both broken stories ahead of the AJC, who then grabbed the stories and claimed them as "exclusives."
Majette has already appeared on WALR (TalkRadio 1340), and now needs more face time on the other stations in town. The locals here (at least other than the poor blacks in south DeKalb) wnat to see her crap out, but we'll have to see how well that translates into votes within her district.
We're talking the AJC here - their editorial page editor, Cynthia Tucker, while well read, and fairly intelligent (she even surprises me pleasantly with some of her editorials) at times. Many of her editorials are so far to the right that it isn't funny.
