How politely will his insurance company inquire about the door locks, copies of the ignition key, etc.?

"How politely will his insurance company inquire about the door locks, copies of the ignition key, etc.?"

Forget the insurance company. This guy will have enough problems with the FBI to make the insurance company look like chumps.

Buster Boshears, the airport manager for Daniel Field

I bet he had to be tough as a kid.

I'm thinking a drug runner swiped this one. The 172 does not have a high useful load, doesn't go all that fast (100 to 110 knots on a good day). No offense to Cessna owners, but pilots of faster planes (which is most of them) refer to 172s as Dog-Ass Cessnas (remember "Semi-Tough"?). I'm confounded why someone would go after a 172, actually...

Hoping for the best, here. Eyes open...

A 1979 Cessna 172 airplane was reported stolen from Daniel Field on Saturday, police said.

They've had two days to get away.
It could be like a stolen car and flown across the border for cash. OR......remodled into something a little more terrifying.
I hope they find it.
