Well President Bush wanted a world wide war against terrorism maybe he will get it. Perhaps it would help if Bush bombed Korea or Germany first. This might convince the Arabs that the war on terrorism is not just aimed at bombing their ancestral land into the stone age. (/sarcasm)

I just saw on the Fox News 'crawler,' at the bottom of the screen, that we should be alert in the shopping malls. (I can't even remember the last time I went to a shopping mall)

Forget about being alert in the shopping malls, it just isn't worth it. So I just deleted all the shopping bookmarks from my browser. Well, everything except for Amazon.com, but I figure they must have some pretty good security.

Pretty much two kinds of Americans: spit for brains, and trained professionals who are there occupationally. The first isn't worth worrying about. For the second, it's a calculated risk that they've chosen to accept.

We're fast approaching the "boy who cried" wolf syndrome, and I'm afraid that after countless false alarms Americans will dismiss legitimate warnings with a "been there, done that" shrug, and may not take the necessary procautions as a consequence.

So then you want the American government to filter the information it receives and you want the American government to decide for us what is a legitimate threat and what is a hoax.

I prefer to make that descision on my own.

It's the same with the media. It used to be that when they broke in with an alert something serious had occurred. I don't pay much attention when I hear it any more. Seems like everything is breaking news now.
