A "Graphic Pictures" notice at the beginning of your post would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a weak stomach, but it just good manners not censorship IMO, esp. when a link would suffice. I personally don't post these types of photos for a number of reasons. Not a flame, just a suggestion. Those who have eyes to see, know that 'wounded' in these attacks means lots of lost body parts; for those who are blind, no amount of photos will make them see.

I am afraid you are absolutely correct. Whether they continue will depend upon the fate of those who commission, direct, aid, abet, or applaud their commission. If we practice a scorched earth policy -- immediately and inevitably -- against all of the above, the assaults will be short lived. If we proceed as we are in Afganistan now -- limited response with limited weapondry -- we are in for a long, harrrowing defeat.

My 10 year old son just saw that picture of the guy with a missing arm, I try to protect his mind from the horrors of this world until he can understand them.

What would America do if a neighboring country continued to kill and terrorize its citizens? On an almost daily basis. There is no way it would just retaliate back in little air strikes or send a couple of tanks out to bomb an empty building. America would give the other country a deadline to put an end to the harboring of terrorists, and if that deadline wasn’t met with satisfactory action, it would go to war and do the job itself. Right?

Or perhaps Israel should just get used to terrorism, accept it, and start building more ambulances, training more medical personnel for more future attacks? I aggree, that something more drastic needs to be done soon.

How the Israelis resist killing Arafat, even at the behest of our country, is beyond my ability to comprehend.

I know the politics of the middle east is a quagmire and not very easily understood by westerners, but there comes a time when a nation must make a stand for the safety of its civilians... for the sake of freedom. That time has come too Israel, about 20 years ago.
