a) Johnson is still serving as a barrier, if a leaky one, to the tidal wave of Dem destruction that would follow a Jeffries speakership, starting with specifying Trump as an "insurrectionary" under the 14th Amendment, clarifying "civil rights" protections for transgender child mutilation & men in women's sports, a new assault weapons ban, etc., etc.
b) Trump is supporting Johnson because he recognizes political reality;
c) No amount of money for border protection would ever be used to tighten the border as long as the "Biden" regime is in power. Any stiffening of immigration law would not get through the Senate or would be vetoed. Nothing can be done about the border unless and until the "Biden" regime is removed from office.
d) it seems to me both Taiwan and Israel have enough money to buy their own weaponry. So authorizing more military sales makes sense, but paying for it ourselves does not.
e) military assistance to Ukraine makes sense to oppose Russia. Russia will, in fact, attack NATO in the Baltic states if its war in Ukraine is not opposed. US forces are not yet directly involved, and aiding Ukraine to kill Russian soldiers is in our interest and the easiest solution.
Stop letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. The FISA re-authorization seems much worse to me. The spending is at worst wasted money: FISA is a direct threat to our freedoms under a corrupt DOJ.

NO WAY i want to grind my teeth again thru 4 years of Dems/GOPe ruling everything but the Presidency like Trump’s last term. AND since DJT supports Speaker Johnson, i’m DONE waiting for any Congressional conservatism to match the publics wishes. Seems DJT has ONCE AGAIN made bad decisions about politics and those whispering in his ear.
