This crap again.
Yes, the man who inspired Crocodile Dundee was shot and killed by police.
But it wasn't because they came to get his guns.
Nobody ever tried to take his guns off him. Never happened.
He did feel he'd been treated unfairly by the government over some issues he had on his farm (he was forced to destroy diseased cattle and he lost his farm), but that happened a decade before he suddenly decided to go on a shooting spree.
By the time this happened, he was a long term drug addict (methamphetamine) and on 2nd August 1999, he shot and wounded two innocent people from ambush. Police set up roadblocks and the following day, 3rd August 1999, he shot at police from ambush at one of those roadblocks. He killed one officer, and wounded another, and then engaged in a gun fight with other police who the wounded officer summoned to assist him. He was ultimately shot and killed by the officer he had wounded.
Nobody ever tried to take his guns. That is just crap.
The man was a drug addict who shot innocent people, and then two police officers, killing one of them and wounding the police officer who returned fire after being shot from ambush.
Making him out to be some victim of government oppression is absolutely ridiculous. He was a drug crazed murderer.
The Gaydar is strong with this one.
No surprise he was a male prostitute.
