I remember those videos. I watched, aghast, knowing what was in store for the so-called palestinians. They are parasites of the lowest order who refused to live by the rules in every Arab country where they’ve been summarily evicted and inflicted upon Israel for 100 years.

Imagine if democrats populated YUGE chunks of real estate in previously prosperous communities with the dregs of society, with foreign gang members, illegal aliens convicted of all manner of crimes in their home countries and… wait, what? They’re doing WHAT?

Never mind.

Because of the misuse of the humanitarian funds for terrorist and military purposes, further humanitarian aid to Gaza should be rerouted to help agriculture and other losses in Israel. Anything left over could be sent to actually impoverished people in Sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere for real humanitarian purposes.

He added that "Hamas actually wiped out the local agriculture. You may not know this, but there were groups of terrorists going over the faucet lines, destroying all the water pipes, thrashing the fertilizer tanks, setting fire to buildings, and irrigation pools, and destroying the infrastructure of the local agriculture."

That's an aspect of the violence that the MSN is not reporting. Israeli agriculture is genius, and very inventive, growing food in formerly rocky sandy desert land. This agriculture was on Israeli land. Very little water until they figured out how to harvest moisture from nets on fencing, and how to purify water from seawater, and direct drip irrigation to crops. Built over years, but destroyed in a few days by filthy muslim Arabs.

It would be prudent to take careful note of Hamas tactics on October 7, and then take a look outside of your front window and wonder “what if they employed those exact same tactics here?”

There are, at minimum, tens of thousands of military aged men that have entered the United States in the past few months, and certainly not all of them have good intentions.

Hamas didn’t confine themselves to mere rape and murder of unarmed civilians, they also attacked whatever infrastructure they could, limited only by resources, not restraint. The “Grid Down” scenario has been all the rage among preppers and other folks who just generally like to be prepared and self-reliant, but American agriculture is among the least secure industries in the country, and there are numerous pinch points that could be exploited.

You can bet that there are teams looking at vulnerabilities in that sector, in country, this very afternoon.

Likely true.

This is not Israel. At least where I live, we almost all are well armed. And we have no intention of giving them up.

As far as agriculture, We have lots of farm land and cattle.

But bear in mind, there were 7,000 cattle destroyed in the large fires in Texas recently.

Friend of mine sold calves for $1500 a head recently.

Without getting into too much detail, think processing and distribution. And areas dependent on irrigation infrastructure have point vulnerabilities as well.

That’s what Hamas hit in the Negev. They generally didn’t bother killing the livestock, just the sources of feed and water that sustained them.

Granted, the Negev is more dependent on irrigation than any ag. area in the US, including the Imperial Valley in California, but if you wanted to create bedlam in the US cities, turning out the lights and disrupting food distribution would be a darn good way to go about it.

Not to be black pilled about it, I think that even the big cities in Texas would acquit themselves honorably, but things would certainly be sporty for a while.

Just a reminder that ALL FReepers are invited to join ‘The Garden Thread.’ We’ve recently gone to a monthly format, but there is a *Ping* every Saturday morning. :)

Lengthy discussions about home gardens, recipes, canning, prepping, container gardening, etc. The thread was started by Greeneyes (who has, sadly, passed) and inherited by Diana in Wisconsin. Message Diana in Wisconsin to be added to our weekly Ping List.

Food production is super scale issue.

The days of local food production, is highly dependent upon large transportation.

My ancestors were farmers as far back as we can trace them.

They traveled by wagons pulled by teams of mules over distances that today would be unbelievable.

Long story. We still own farms. Have been in this country since 1889.

When Israel gave up one territory to the “Palestinians” years ago (the West Bank? I can’t remember), the “Palestinians” immediately chopped down all the orchards and destroyed all the greenhouses because they were made by the “evil Jews”.

Let them effing starve.
