if he’s too old and forgetful for prosecution for stealing old secret documents- doesn’t ‘remember taking them’, then how can he be trusted to not steal more secret documents?

Not mentally competent enough to stand trial; yet competent enough to be President of the US

The former should have been for a jury to decide, the latter is up to voters to decide.

Hur had a slam dunk case.“

DC Court, DC Judge, DC Jury. No reasonable prosecutor would try to bring charges to a rat President. No chance for conviction, none.

Keep in mind, he wasn’t demented when he took those documents home, some of them from his days in the Senate.

I don’t understand this at all.

Ok, Biden is completely senile and dementia addled NOW.

So, when he was the VP doing all this stuff? Was he gone then too?

Or, is it just that if you dodge prosecutors long enough, you are just forgiven?

” I might have killed him 25 years ago, but I don’t remember now”

Prosecutor..”good enouigh for us, no reason to have a trial! Have a nice day, buddy!”

- THIS is the story in a nutshell.

What it tells me is that it confirms my belief that our government is a club, taken over completely by corrupt vermin who will blatantly do and/or say ANYTHING to prevent their power ever shifting back to we citizens.

The documents were primarily in Pa at U Penn and his Delaware home. Much like Trump is being tried in Florida on his docs case, Biden would either be tried at the site of the documents in Pa or Delaware, prosecutor’s choice. State of mind is not an issue in the case. Only two questions.Did you know the documents were classified? Did you willfully remove the documents from the SCIF? Everything else is irrelevant. He is on record in the interview answering both questions in the affirmative. There are no state of mind affirmative defenses to it.

You are absolutely right of course. I wonder if Traitor Joe exaggerated his mental decline to get this result.

> I don’t understand this at all.

Federal law has become purposely subjective so that it may be used as a "peer reviewed" weapon at the whim of the State.

The upper courts are now just a check to prevent the system from being used against itself.

Trump knows this all too well from his first term.

Hur was pursuing a hidden agenda, and surely knew he had
a slam dunk case against Biden. But Hur had other plans......

He was planning to spare Biden and get himself a high-pay,
no-show job as an Asian on Biden’s diversity merry go round.

It’s the only thing that makes sense.....since no one
in creation could be as gullible as Hur purported to be.

The only elements of the crime known include:
<><>hands-on knowledge Biden had classified documents
<><>he was willfully removing them from the SCIF
<><>he was not returning them.

Hur had Biden’s admissions to these elements during the interview.
These admissions were admissible in any court of
law to establish the elements of the case at trial
“even if” Biden was no longer lucid when tried.

Hur had a crack at a president who could place him in a better job.......
except Hur screwed it up bigtime angering both Dems and Repubs.

Hur’s reasoning was just plain stupid.

“I wonder if Traitor Joe exaggerated his mental decline to get this result.”

Reminds me of mobster Crazy Vinnie the Chin Gigante who was prosecuted back in the sixties for extortion and murder. Vinnie feigned an insanity defense, wearing pajamas outside and babbling to himself and showed up once or twice in court wearing his pjs. Got convicted anyway. Joe the Chin may have showed up ay Hur’s interview in his pjs. lol

“Had Hur prosecuted Biden, it would have politically offset the Trump Florida documents lawfare case.”

Good start. The other side of the situation is that if Biden had been prosecuted shouldn’t even be an issue. The required use of OPSEC actions are defined. If they are ignored at this level, then prosecution begins. If prosecution is pulled for mental or physical inability to follow those rules, then the individual in question has proven his unfitness to be assigned a security level even to sensitive level.

With the president running again for office, and being unable to hold a security level, then he is disqualified for the office as he cannot full fill the duties assigned. And that’s what they are frightened of. So why isn’t congress telling the public this and interveining on Biden’s efforts to re-election? All the evidence is there. He doesn’t have to be fined or jailed, just refused to be allowed to run for the office and immedaitely removed being unable to hold a clearance.

“So you support b prosecution of Trump for the documents at Mar-a-Lago?”

Nope. I support not turning the other lawfare cheek. If they choose to bring a politicized lawfare documents case, particularly when it at the bequest of the very person who is being investigated for his own documents case, I choose to return a lawfare volley against Biden to politically offset Biden’s lawfare initiated case against Trump. Real world, this is primarily about politics and law is just the window dressing.

interesting that Hur’s background comes through the same law firms as RR & Wray?

after looking in on Hur’s testimony today, I came away with 2 impressions:

<> every dem tried to compare sen & veep biden’s possession of classified docs to trump by using the same verbiage: “according to the indictment” of trump by Black Jack Smith
<> why did Hur’s report have any reason to draw comparison's to trump's mar a lago documents?

bonus: it was interesting to see Hank Johnson come across as the elder statesman with grey hair & matching little grey neck beard reading a prepared statement.
