The Romans grew prosperous and lazy. It's happening to the USA right now.
I guess he was not intimated by the police car parked right outside the door. He even double parked.
The same could be said for quite a while in this country.
It took the barbarians, visigoths and vandals or a lot of the rest of the known universe to cooperating to bring down the Romans.
Wake me when the Euros, Asians and BRICS decide to cooperate to take down the USA.

Yes, I am quite aware of how monstrous these scammers are. They will - without hesitation - take an old person’s very last dollar, leaving them with nothing for rent or for medicine.
Beyond the vileness of these scammers, two things bother me.
1. The United States has the technology to put a man on the Moon. Yet it appears that we can do nothing to interrupt the operations of these scammers.
There’s a guy on YouTube who simply call-floods these scammers. He auto-dials their phones over and over until they shut down. Why doesn’t our government do that, and on a larger scale? It would cost next to nothing.
2. I actually wouldn’t know the details of these scams if I hadn’t stumbled across a few YouTube videos. Why doesn’t our government alert the public about this? Again, it would cost next to nothing.
Okay. Rant off. 🙁

Yes, and that appears to be by design. They want guys like that to steal your life savings, what it has taken years for you to amass, but if you do anything to them, you are likely to go to jail and lose everything. They appear to want you to get robbed and be too intimidated to do anything about it.
