How about rationing those same elite’s entire income to poor starving children in Africa? How would that be?
I’m not old enough to remember WWII rationing myself, but I am old enough to remember my elders’ resentment of it. They were willing to put up with it because of the ‘war effort’ but they certainly didn’t like it. They ‘knew’ that mucky mucks had access to all the gasoline, meat, and sugar they wanted. And they ‘heard’ that the unobtainable butter was being used by the Russians to lubricate trucks.
Good. Start rationing the elites’ food.
Is there any elected official or bureaucrat that could be entrusted with the power who decides who gets to eat and who doesn’t? Wait until that power gets weaponized.
