I do not understand why so many Americans Jews are anti-Semitic.
Progressive, leftist jews do not believe in God.

Where to start and as pertains to the liberal Jewish population (a majority, sadly, of American Jews):
1) The whole notion of being Jewish to them is integral to being Liberal. You simply can’t be a Jew if you are not a leftist.
2) Israel is “that place.” It is an abstract idea that has been, in their minds, detached from any semblance of what it means to be a Jew. So, who cares what happens in that place. It isn’t happening here. Hamas is some abstract, made up bogeyman to try to scare Jews.
3) Hamas is the victim and they side with the victims, especially of right wing oppression. Republicans like Israel, Republicans are evil, Israel is therefore evil.
4) You simply can’t be an educated and superior intellectual mind if you aren’t a liberal.
