Wally’s “Great Value” stuff

I can’t stand any of the Great Value stuff. I like the Clover Valley from DG (even have a daughter that works at a DG). I usually shop Kroger, as their store brand is superior to Great Value from WalMart all day long and about the same price.

At least, here in Texas.

And I obviously prefer HEB (Hill Country Fare) to it all, but HEB is pricier than Kroger or DG.

Walmart just spent Billions on remodeling for cashless transactions. Yet raised prices on food. The day they don’t accept CASH is the day the cart gets left for them to restock the items from China.

No but I frequently get socks. But it’s a special expensive brand that I request.

Everyone in the family got framed motivational posters from my son a few years ago. His employer went bankrupt a few days before Christmas and he was unemployed. He liberated them from his employers now closed office.

The funny part was, a few months later his new employer bought his former employers shop. Some people were joking about how they even took the posters off the walls. He never told them it went toward Christmas.

You can also use half the noodles and add a few frozen shrimp or leftover cut up chicken pieces.

We buy $5 Costco cooked chickens, cut the meat and sprinkle into ramen pots. We never use the supplied seasoning, we make our own flavoring and soup base. Also add boiled eggs and some vegetable items. We buy cases of Ramen packages as well as cases of other instant noodle brands. Makes for very inexpensive filling meals.

We lived out of rummage sales, the only thing brand new my 3 boys got new Stride Rite Shoes. Front the first pair till they our grew them.

I wore my older cousins’ hand me down, being in the next-to-last of 6 girl cousins. Shoes were the one thing mom had to buy me, I still only wear a size 5 very hard to find. And those oranges and nuts sure tasted good, not like the CRAP TODAY.
