Blackrock is an investor, but as an asset/money manager, it also has investors...and those investors have expressed their dislike for Blackrock's Woke behavior such that Blackrock is now backing away from Woke/DEI. Apparently, so is Vanguard.
As a side note, Blackrock doesn't actually own Target or other Woke stocks for their own account. They buy on behalf of their clients/investors. Most of their business is the assembling/marketing/management of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).

I’ve pretty much avoided Target for over 30 years, ever since I tried to buy my sister a birthday card with a Christian message, but they had none. (but they DID have gay and lesbian birthday cards). I think I’ve shopped there once, since then.

Boycott Target. But, if you have to shop there, check to see if they carry these products and verify how flimsy they’re made. I’ll bet they break very easily. Probably results in safety hazards that management needs to address.
