There are approximately 4 million Christians in Egypt who are protected under Egyptian Law, not to mention the tourists that flock to to Egypt that aren't muslims, so pushing Palestinians into Egypt would give them more victims to murder. As it is, an Egyptian cop shot and killed two Israeli tourists and their Egyptian guide yesterday in Alexandra. Muslims have never held back from killing their own. Shia and Sunni have been at odds for ages.
