DeSantis fired his surgeon general after the Great Barrington Declaration and appointed a man who could see the truth about the virus and the vaccines.
Trump personally called DeSantis to shut Florida down.

Trump should be running on the good things that he did pre-COVID: the economy, the judges, killing terrorists, getting NK to back down, etc. He could easily and acccurately point out that DeSantis doesn’t have the same foreign policy experience. It would be a very credible message.
Cozying up to Cuomo to deflect blame from his own (good intentioned) blunders on COVID may keep the acolytes happy but it’s damaging to the country and his own chances in 2024.
