Was the staff stalking and molesting the child guests?

Iger wants to express how badly DeSantis hurt Disney, and closing the Star Wars hotel is his first shot. It’s a phony outrage and a phony business move. The hotel will be return as a regular hotel or some other theme hotel, but only after the lawsuit/dispute against Florida/DeSantis is resolved.

I am a huge star wars fan, and comfortable financially, but I wouldn’t have stayed in that place for 1/10 of the price they were charging.

So does this mean that Disney will be housing migrants in what's left? Rename it “Mos Eisley”, for example.

$5,000From what I read, two nights is still less than one Taylor Swift concert ticket.

If Disney wants to cut off it’s nose to spite its face, they are welcome to it!
Move the entire operation to California and do Trans Day every day there!
To: Red Badger
Did they try reducing the prices by 80%?

I was never a Star Wars fan.
The first one in 1977 turned me off with that script flowing up the screen...................

They already has a Disneyland there, and their studios are there too.
What they need is to build their own Sodom and Gomorrah, but they should try to build it in Iran.

When I read the words, “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.......” I knew it was a ‘fairy tale’ and it was, Prince Charming, Princess in trouble, Evil man and his henchmen, rescue at the end.....all the elements were there. It was Sleeping Beauty meets Star Trek....................

It was a formula, and it worked on the masses.
I did like the “Indiana Jones” series.

With Indiana Jones you knew before going in that it was a recreation of the old suspense movie serials of the 30’s and 40’s....................

Undecided which sounds like the larger waste of money.

Notice you’ve never seen a female of the species in the movies Now that you mention it, no. Matter of fact, what planet did he come from? Even the Klingons had females around. Not bad either. If extraterrestrials are your thing. ;O)

Poor business planning was the cause of its demise. It was actually an interesting concept and not too badly executed as an immersive experience. But, the pricing model made it more expensive than a cruise on one of their ships. If they had priced it in the category of a higher end hotel on their property it would have been perpetually sold out. The market for it ended up being extremely wealthy Star Wars fanatics. Once that limited target group had all had a stay at the hotel then there was no more market left to serve.
As to the cancellation of the Lake Nona Disney office park, the push back from the Imagineers was immediate after it was initially announced. Many of them quit rather than relocate their family across the country. Disney immediately pulled back and then used COVID as the blame for the delay on the project. Now they are blaming DeSantis but that is just a convenient excuse. They had been looking at a way to backtrack from this decision long before the feud.
Disney executives are showing that they not only have lacked an understanding of their market, but even their employees.
