Ignorant merely means that one is lacking knowledge about a certain thing.

Now STUPID implies...

The image is from Gannet. They are far from an unbiased source.

Look up 'unbiased' in the dictionary and you'll find Gannett's picture.

You also note that the letters UN are redacted.

It needs to be done in such a way that the Sergeant can still prove they are not guilty.

The prosecutors should be fired and put on trial.

Here is another image from the trial, showing Police Detective David Fugitt illustrating the position of Foster with the AK47 style Rifle.

Here is another image of the defense depiction of the angle of the rifle as held by Foster in the trial of Sgt. Daniel Perry.

The trial was obviously video recorded.

However, unlike the Kenosha trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, I have not found a source of complete video for the trial, only bits and pieces.

Here is one example.

The trial did not receive national attention, perhaps because it was considered a clear case of self defense prior to the trial.

If any freeper has found a source where the entire trial video is available, please let us know.

Here is my opinion. I have always found the idea that our legal system can determine what a person thought, is very dangerous. In some cases, there may be compelling evidence that a defendant did intend to murder somebody. In this case, Perry (or a person using Perry's account) tweeted on 5-31-2020 (nearly a month before the shooting) "I might have to kill a few people on my way to work they are rioting outside my apartment complex." Prosecutors read that tweet in closing arguments.

Such a statement on social media is risky, but does it prove that Perry was determined to shoot George Floyd protesters? I am guessing that Perry meant that it he might have to shoot if he thought he was threatened, but I admit I am not a mind reader.

For the following link, legal ethicists will surely argue about whether DA Garza should have excluded evidence for the grand jury (not the trial jury). Note that prosecutors hide evidence from grand juries all the time.

Austin police detective accuses Travis County DA of ‘criminal behavior’ in case against Sgt. Daniel Perry

Will Abbott be able to pardon Perry?

It is a good question.

Apparently, if the board which governs pardons does not recommend he do so, he cannot issue a pardon.

I hope it’s not necessary, but the pardon board, families, and Abbott should brace themselves for smears and outright threats. Kavanaugh was smeared and later could have been killed by a leftist lunatic.

They're dangerous and nuts but they've got FBI thugs ready to defend them...
