Away from Detroit, near the rural types who like NASCAR and Trump. Many live there to NOT be in Detroit.
This gives credence to the supposedly silly conspiracy theories. Secretly, quietly the government brings toxic and carcinogenic materials somewhere.
At least they didn’t use black helicopters ——I think.
“Norfolk Southern”
I have some time off next month, during which I have a long list of personal things to accomplish, including some writing; I might have to pencil in some time to deep dive and find out exactly who authorized what.
“Whose idea is it to transfer all this stuff all over the place.”
A conspiracy theorist might think they’re trying to kill all of us ... nah ...
Back in the 1980’s the family business had a concrete pit that received chemicals and fiber mix from the plant. It had to be dug out by hand or later a backhoe. The gunk was usually sent to Wisconsin then to Michigan for disposal. There were times without permission and as it would cost money, the gunk was dumped in a hole in the gravel parking lot by a shed away from the cars.
In the summer it would bubble up thru the gravel and dirt.
The company was later by city order to connect with the sewer system that sent it elsewhere to be cleaned up.
Guess why they want us to eat bugs not meat.
Re-Gift it to Washington, DC.
Quick and easy, scrubbers and all.
Somewhere in our bureaucracy people know what to do.
Somewhere else in our bureaucracy are people stopping those who know what to do.
You don't make websites like the one above without KNOWING what to do.
I've not even linked to the MULTITUDE of HAZMAT response requirements that are supposed to be utilized. firstly being that any HAZMAT has to follow strict container markings.
NS hasn't even identified what they want to inject into the well.
Looney Lib Lina Hildago (Harris County DA) sounded perfectly fine and NOT shocked, by this, in a (Houston) Chron.com article I read, the other day.
Someone had to have advance notice of this. Was it her?
What say Gov Abbott?
See my #28. Might be a good starting point.
Hidalgo said there was no law requiring her office to be informed about wastewater but said she was upset local officials were kept out of the loop by a "fundamentally broken" system. She said her office had been in contact with the company, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and outside industry and environmental experts.Yet nobody's yet said "NO!" and turned away the contaminated water. She sure sounds upset, doesn't she? /s"It doesn't look like any regulations necessarily were broken by the fact that nobody told us. But it doesn't quite seem right."
-snip-
"My goal tonight is not to create more worry than there already is," Hidalgo said. "But I know that our community was taken aback by the news, just as I was, and I don't want to be sitting on information that is relevant to this very public, very concerning disaster that is still ongoing in Ohio."
My take: Faux concern, gaslighting and well-prepared statements for an unannounced shipment.
To be clear for others reading this, tankers full of water from the derailment site were transported from East Palestine, OH to Harris County, Texas for "deep well injection disposal" with what is reported in the same article as containing "very low levels of soluble vinyl chloride" (no mention yet of the other chemicals involved in the derailment AND - again - nary a mention of any dioxin tests).
Wastewater from Ohio derailment has moved through Harris County for more than a week, Hidalgo says
Yep…..she’s turbo gaslighting.
I forgot my ‘air quotes’ around “unannounced”...
