Judge Hank “The Hangman” BMW : Now prosecutor, why you think he done it?

Prosecutor : ‘Kay. Number one your honor, just look at him. And B, we’ve got all this, like, evidence, of how, like, this guy didn’t even pay at the hospital. And I heard that he doesn’t even have his tattoo.

[crowd boos]

Prosecutor : I know! And I’m all, ‘you’ve gotta be shittin’ me!’ But check this out man, judge should be like

[bangs fist on table]

Prosecutor : ‘guilty!’ Peace.

*** Next they will do away with grades, as well. Law schools will issue JD degrees based upon participation only.***

Maybe they will give them “warm fuzzies” or “cold pricklies” for grades like they did for some kids in the 90’s in elementary public schools.

What other measure could possible be used to choose from millions of applicants every year? Sack races?

Grades at lower schools, courses studied, work at relevant jobs, published scholarship, serious recommendations, religious affiliation, citizenship, personal relationships, prior work for the school/institution

You know - all the stuff that free people and institutions in the past would construct for themselves, before Fed.gov made everyone into a number and conformist, statist sheep. Unfortunately, it seems, time brainwashes everyone.

"How soon before reading and writing are dropped as a condition of admission to law school?

How soon before the ability to think logically and analytically are dropped as a condition of admission to law school? According to this article, it will be in 2025.

Is the LSAT culturally biased? Not enough questions on basketball?

Q. If Tyrone hooks up with Shaniqua on Monday, Chantillalika on Tuesday and Moniqua on Wednesday then who will get the biggest payout after their babies are born?

A. Tyrone!

That’s because the ABA is a thoroughly leftist organization. I absolutely refused to join

Bingo. That is how real achievement, excellence, and pursuit of knowledge is shown.

Like I said, though, looking individually is just too time consuming and requires real effort. Having “scores” on these concept tests streamlines the process so much lower candidates can be achieved and processed with ease.

Standardized tests are symptom, not a cause. I am under no illusions that Fed.gov and statist/leftist social engineers will withdraw from education at any level.

Centralized political control and funding turned education into a mass-production, factory system. Education and its institutions have already been radically transformed in the last 70 years. And when you have a factory, you need statistical controls.

Agreed. It is a symptom of an all encompassing educational bureaucracy.

Next up: no more Bar Exam to practice law.

Is that a bad thing?

All it does is create a cartel from whoever does the certifying.

It used to be that one simply went to court to make logical arguments, based on law and precedent. You had better know your stuff, or judges will slap you down. How would that change?

“We should welcome their elimination, for whatever the reason.”

So there should be no minimum standards of competence, intelligence or accomplishment to enter certain fields? No way to weed out those who will obviously not be able to complete the degree? Better the less capable should waste their tuition and time on a fruitless effort, while at the same time denying a more qualified candidate a shot at his chosen profession? Maybe you prefer a lottery system where they pull names out of a hat? Yeah, that will get us the best candidates.

I didn’t even think to copypasta the script, but I was laughing the whole time I read it.

I have many posts in this thread on this topic. You can read through them if you want.

All I will say is - there was once a time when education at all levels was not controlled by Fed.gov, or the progressive/statist factory mindset.

Many people on this thread, yourself included, are reacting to 70 years of conditioning of false notion that absolute Fed.gov control is necessary and so are all its statistical measurements

Med schools will soon drop the MCAT as well, it is becoming ever more important to shop around for services as too many “professionals” are affirmative action hires with little or no talent.

I was a bit young at the time, but I thought that it also made for a good tv series.

Why would you want a “standard” for such expertise in these fields? Every time a “standard “ is used that is setting to the lowest bar acceptable.

The problem is there exist entire businesses set up to “coach” so the lowest standard can be obtained. That’s not real education or achievement.

Even with a “standard,” for decades white males are admitted less than other skin and gender.

Now the trifecta is to announce yourself a different shade and that you have chopped off or altered body parts. Some med schools will give you a full scholarship for that or at least tell you they are welcoming you oh so so much .

Getting the Fed Dep of Education established, under Carter in 1979, succeeded in a final Leftist push (after decades of pushing for it), at a time when the Left understood it already had a critical mass within academia to control the Dep and the policies Congress would place on it. It should be 100% abolished - root and branch - with none of its affairs transferred as a sub-agency under other cabinet level agencies (as had been the case previously).

If all a Federal education program did was collect and disseminate data with no education rule making ability, that would likely not be too bad, but preventing Congress from expanding it again beyond data collection would prove nigh unto impossible, over time.

The LSAT test prep book tests I used had a slight leftist bias.

If the test books are bias, then the test has to be bias as they would be useless if they were not telling you what is on the test.

The test book industry just went into the crapper.
