Trump was forgiven many faux paus because he wasn’t a polished politician. He now should act like he’s been there. Desantis is up for re-election and he has a huge chore rebuilding from Hurricane Ian. Trump should man up and apologize to Ron privately.

It's a love tap compared to the kill shots such as "crooked Hillary" or "low-energy Jeb". Sanctimony is a personality flaw at worst, but the kill shots are disqualifying for public office.
Everyone should read Rich Baris’ take on this. The gist is McCarthy and Ryan are trying to get DeSantis to run to stop Trump. Not that they like DeSantis, rather he is best positioned to stop Trump. It’s a warning shot to DeSantis.
An unforced error. Trump is often his own worst enemy.
I will say this: He is not my best choice but he’s a hell of a lot better than Trump (I’d vote for him) and I think he doesn’t have foreign business interests that would cause him to sell out to foreign Asian dictators with a plan to build golf courses, and look the other way on ballistic launches as an enticement … RDS should run I think at least so there is some competition, which is always good for politicians. (Gee. Does this make me a ‘communist’ for leading the cult? Sorry comrades)
