I’ve been in Denver before at 5 below, and other bitter cold times. I don’t know why, but I swear, 35 degrees and damp is more miserable than 10 degrees if it’s sunny out. I’ve been told the super cold temps suck the moisture out of the air but I really don’t know.
If the sun is hitting me, I’ll be ok. If I’m in shade or if it’s cloudy and damp, I get cold.
More fear porn. Be afraid, be very afraid. Just know that the gubmint and its ever helpful media will be here for you telling you to “shelter in place”.
“If global warming causes blizzards”
And if you want the real science, without all the gobbledygook it goes something like this:
Geological evidence points towards four or five “ice ages” or glacial periods on earth.
The period between ice ages is known as inter-glacial periods.
Guess what?
Global warming is the wrong term, whereas the term climate change is correct as the climate warms up from the last glacial period.
In the past interglacial periods have been shorter and warmer than the one we are currently in, and it might have already peaked which so far is presenting itself as an inter-glacial period which is longer and not as warm as the previous inter-glacial period.
IF our present interglacial period follows suit of previous interglacial periods it will start getting cooler rather than warmer as it transitions back into a follow-on glacial period.
That is why the term “global warming” is complete BS because if anything, at some point it’s going to start getting cooler and then we’ll go into another cyclic glacial period.
Which indicates the term climate change is the most correct and it is naturally occurring.

About halfway down, under the boos, is the Saturday Summary.
Joe Bastardi is looking at a very active month for March weather wise.
If he’s right, we’re going to have some dandy storms.
An INVOLUNTARY POLAR VORTEX. Isn’t that what we used to call a cold snap? They do happen this time of year. Just like how come July and August we’re likely to be subject to INVOLUNTARY TROPICAL VORTICES, what we used to call heat waves
I think moon phases in America are based on traditional Native Americans observations.
It’s the humidity that does it.
WE’RE DOOMED!!! Run for the hills.
You use to fix up anything that broke in the last storm, muck out the animal pens, find the stuff you dropped in the snow and haul in some more firewood.
Because as sure as God made the little green apples you have a major weather coming and it is going to be really cold and unpleasant.
Ah. You mean a cold spell!
I still remember the brutal cold and snow of March 14, 1968. Shut down the states around Eastern Oklahoma for over a week. Power out, huge drifts, a bad time.
We had a snow in April about 15 years ago, a two foot storm in Feb 2011 and a snow storm in May 5, 2013. And Frost on May 19, 1979 or 1980. Killed my half grown garden!
Pollard,
Is that the forecast for your area?
The next few days a high of 4 and a low of -4. A foot of snow and 40+ mph winds. Typical Wyoming winter. I-80 will be closed for a few days.
Central Illinois 52 degrees “f” 11:35 A.M.

oh noes its going below 40!
I hope it’s not a vortex cyclone of cold-death with a chainsaw bayonet again.

I like “chain saw bayonet” and will most likely steal it sometime in the future.
Southern Alaska - Toasty 20 degrees and the snow is level with my 2nd story deck..............
