A glacier collapsing happens at a small number of points in time, and is noticeable. The addition of ice to existing glaciers and the formation of new glaciers would happen continuously, and would not be noticeable. Do the alarmists reflect this?
If a glacier collapses and melts, the ice would release the heat of condensation, if I remember my terminology. This would cool the earth (and perhaps accelerate the formation of more ice.)
Colder water would evaporate less. Whether this offsets Vermont Lt’s changed weather patterns is beyond me.

Not this @#$% again!
Glaciers slowly move towards the sea and calf ice bergs all the time.
At the same time, new ice is generated inland in a continuous process.
The glacier would have to collapse all at once, which is highly unlikely.
