House Democrats will roll out legislation that would revoke lifetime pension and other taxpayer-funded perks from former presidents who are convicted of felonies during or after office.

Wasn't BillyBob’s name found dozens of times on the passenger manifests of Jeffrey Epstein's Lolita Airlines?

DC is governed by a giant web of Mutually Assured Destruction - releasing this kind of info would probably end up taking out a good percentage of the GOP.
So...no real downsides. :)

If the President is indicted by Vance...and there can be no doubt of that...I’d wager everything I own that a Manhattan jury would convict him without a problem.

How about revoking the pension of ANY politician who is convicted of a felony?

Sure, like Joey “Big guy” Biden would sign off on that! Nothing to worry about!

How about any Federal employee who takes the fifth about something they have done on the job.

They’re too stupid to realize this. If I was someone like Jim Jordan I’d be pushing this like my job depended on it. And then as soon as it’s passed I’d drop the Clinton bomb on them.
Be interesting to see how long any of them live.

Didn’t Clinton (Bill not Hill) plead guilty to perjury regarding testimony in federal court in the Paula Jones case? Yes. The man is a felonious perjurer.

Ironically, should apply to all living presidents except Trump.

The bill needs to be expanded to include people who have served in the House or Senate. That’s where the savings are.

Disagree. Even federal employees have the right to not be forced to incriminate themselves.

“While Congress must refuse to let Donald Trump off the hook for inciting a deadly insurrection Trump was acquitted of inciting anything.
So... what is the compensation for a president or former president that is the subject of an incessant, neurotic, witchhunt? Because every coin has two sides

They can still take the fifth, they just lose their pension. Think of their pension as payment for not breaking the law while on the job.

It will be a simple task for Vance to hang a felony conviction in New York on Trump, regardless if he’s innocent..
