Dont comment on stuff you know less than nothing about especially espousing fake news like CNN does. Dont rely on nutcases to form opinions. It would be like me trying to tell a farmer what to plant and when to plant it and where to plant it because my shaman said that what was what to do. I dont know and he doesnt either. Recognize when you are out of your depth and I wont make fun of your hare brained opinions.
BS BS BS. I’ve been a tech analyst for over 30 years.
You are an industry shill.
Starlink...that’s the deal where the sell a 2000 dollar receiver for 500?
Then why have you not debunked a single thing I said. All you did was rely on ad hominem fallacy and false dilemma fallacy based on a site which is 100% an appeal to ignorance AND argumentum ad misericordiam (Its for the children.)
If you were a tech analyst you were not a very good one. I am willing to cite research for everything I have said. Your response: “You are a poopy head industry shill.”
Kind of makes you think of cell phones, no? Free $500 cell phone with your 2 year contract. With Musk so far no contract but you have a sunk cost of 5 bills and there isnt much else you can do with it. Even if you re-sell it whomever buys it can really only use it to sign up for Starlink service.
It is. One way or another, a lot of capital has to be expended to deploy the infrastructure for the system. The end payout is that Starlink will be the only broadband internet AND phone service provider with a potential global client base. As with any startup technology, the problem is financing the red ink until the revenue matures.
Leave me alone, a-hole.
I have no interest in responding to jerks.
My two favorite authors as a kid too. Musk reminds me more of Tom Swift which I read before discovering Heinlein.
I own a Tesla model 3. The self driving x is coming this month hopefully. Starling is coming to provide 100Mbs to rural areas. He has invented rockets that are reusable. He has changed the world multiple ways. Yeah I am a fanboy.
IF I were younger, I would gladly work for Musk.
Ran my own bookkeeping/accounting services since 1980. Still have one client-—this is the 51st year I have done his books. Worked many a night until 2-3 AM, but all year end reports/W-2’s/ got done on time.
Musk also reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright & the abuse he got.
Then there are the super achievers-—who can always count past 10...or even 20.
Then there are the super achievers-—who can always count past 10...or even 20.
Look up a book that just came out about The Blue Flame Land speed record car.
Worth the $15 cost..... I saw the chalk drawings on Pete Farnsworth’s garage floor in 1964. It became a total reality in Oct 1970.
I've worked with many self made millionaires and a few made a billion, and some of the lower earning millionaires had great families and that is probably why I would put them at the low end of millionaires.
How bad is that?
If they were so focused on success then they would sacrifice all else.
MY highest mortgage payment-—P I T I—was only $640 a month-—on 5 acres with 2553 sq ft log house.
Ahhh, you got it all wrong. That’s 70s technology thinking. IOW, decades ago reception technology was very crude. Signal strength had to be high to transmit long distances. As reception technology improved the amount of power required to transmit long distances decreased as signal processing capabilities increased.
Want a practical example? Cellphones. Your 15 year old flip phone has more than 4x the transmit/receive power of a typical smart phone. The cellphones of the 90s have even more than that.
Starlink uses =solar powered= satellites and very smart ground antennas. Their power is in the signal processing, not in the signal. High power processing of low power signals. That’s the money maker.
The beauty of fiat money. They get to rob us blind and we dont realize it. Deflate current dollars and tell me what $500 of todays dollars would have been worth then. Not arguing the point though. It is a damned expensive unit. Of course a color TV back then cost a lot more in todays dollars than a Starlink unit.
BTW, nice purchase on the home and land. Would love to have that myself. We put down 30% to knock a letter off the PITI and only having PIT and payed off our 30 year mortgage in 2.5 years paying only a few of thou in interest. Lots of beans and rice for a few years yields waygu and caviar in the long run. Paying interest is stupid. It is robbing your future self. Not one cent of debt since other than CC’s which are paid before any interest is due.
“He’s a flake”
So was Christopher Columbus.
Thank God for flakes.
you are so full of crap. 5G is unsafe.. WOW, Starlink does not use 5G.. WOW learn something before you open you mouth..
might check out the starlink website for the beta, receiver is 400, and service id 99.00/month..
Yeah I read they are paying 2000 for the box/antenna and selling it at a big loss expecting to make up on the subscription. And all the astronomers hate them too LOL.
