The tragic death of George Floyd and recent events have fueled widespread protests and a renewed call for racial equality nationwide. Amid this, our country has been compelled to reflect on issues that are often uncomfortable, and leaders have been driven to examine their organizations in ways like never before. The Air Force, in many ways, is no different. But as a war-fighting organization we cannot afford to squander this moment, because our future and national security depends on it.
Pursuing equality means we must be sure that we are attracting the most capable members of our society, from all races and walks of life, as we prepare for the next fight. This fighting force should be highly capable while reflecting the diversity of the country we serve.
Before I even took command of my services recruiting efforts this spring, Air Force leadership made it clear to me that improving diversity would be on the top of my to-do list. And recent national events only serve as an accelerant as we take aim and tackle this vexing issue.

This is a joke, right?
So what are you going to do, draft them?
Major General Thomas needs to demoted and shoveling s&^t in Louisiana—stat!
Affirmative action comes to fighter pilots. Who needs them, anyway.
Chi-coms must be laughing themselves silly.
I believe that the Air Force has standards on pilots - big screen TV’s and Air Jordan’s aren’t at the top of the list.
Lower standards...what could go wrong?
We need the best pilots, regardless of this color...
This guy and his Chain of command who approved this fecal matter need to be removed for “Loss of confidence in their ability to command.” We want the most capable people, considering anything else reduces our capability. The Chinese and other enemies of our Republic would love for us to reduce our capabilities. Looks like this commander and his chain of command are indoctrinated traitors. Give ‘em a blindfold.
Can’t cut the mustard? Keep your boots on the ground. I don’t want home and hearth dependent on an Affirmative Action hire in the middle of a war.
There might be a reason for this. The truth is just an inconvenience.
It does reflect the diversity we serve, we just don’t allow criminals and the uneducated to join the ranks.
Need more girls too!
Girl power!
I hear that Ft. Polk is lovely this time of year...
This Major General needs to be discharged at once. In fact, given what’s been done to the military since Bubba the Rapist, President Trump should probably discharge every officer above the rank of Major/Lt Commander as they’ve been indoctrinated into this critical race theory hate.
Let hem apply and if they meet the qualifications they will be trained. If thy don’t apply or they are not qualified, too bad.
Cue rap version of Kenny Loggin’s Danger Zone.
Great
Lets get it to 95% or more
