The former five-time beauty queen garnered 2.5 percent of the vote in her 2018 run as an independent for Florida’s 27th Congressional District — losing out to Democrat Donna Shalala, the Herald reported.
She credited Trump for serving as her inspiration.
“I am not looking to run because I need a paycheck, like Donald Trump,” she told the Herald. “I’m not looking
to run because I need fame, like Donald Trump. I’m running because I need this country to succeed. Like
Donald Trump, I don’t drink.

I can’t believe that someone involved in the camera positioning didn’t notice the woman. They left her in the shot. Peculiar. My guess is that NBC positioned her there because they thought that since she's black she'd display the reactions they wanted. Instead, they got 100% opposite of what they wanted.

She, a nice-looking Black woman, sat just behind Trump’s left shoulder in the camera shot. She nodded yes to his talking points. At the end she stood up, clapped with both arms raised and cheered. The sound level for cheers from the audience was loud enough to make me think the majority were pro-Trump.
