We have lots of libs among the parents of our (BSA)Scouts. I take it as my solemn duty to nudge the children in the direction of traditional values since many of their parents and teachers aren't doing the job. Just last week, some of the kids were puzzled that the American flag takes precedence when there is a group of flags of different nations and that we have so many flag rituals. It gave me an opportunity to explain that every nation honors its own flag on its own soil and has rituals to honor its history and those who sacrificed for its existence. It's funny what gaps in understanding exist among youth.
