The entire protective team needs to be replaced. Period. IF anyone on the team made those statements to the press, it’s indicative of serious breach of ethical protocol, as well as a potential breach of security. Can you imagine a Secret Service agent saying, “oh, I’m aghast that the President would travel to XXXX country because it’s dangerous there”? “We could get shot.”

Protecting the President is a dangerous job. The Secret Service could just lock down any President 100% of the time and reduce the risk to near zero and stay safe but that would be ridiculous. Numerous presidents have traveled to dangerous war zones, disaster areas and other hazardous areas they did not need to go to but did it to reassure the American people.
