I’m sure Donald Trump’s tax returns aren’t as simple as all that.
How about taxes paid on building materials and for employee wages? Depreciation, amortization, recapture, interest during construction, inventory techniques, etc.
i still do not know what relevance a private citizens tax records are
Hey NYSlimes - WE DON’T CARE!
So what? About half of the US population pays no income taxes anyway.
Oh. My. Gawwwwodddddddd!!! We all must vote for Biden now. We have no choice.
Well, first thought is we could have predicted this...
Second, the DIMs and DS are incredibly desperate at this point...
So, where is the crime...??
Must be by someone in the IRS or in the NY legal class leaking this info...
Right before the debate. How shocking.
Anyway, I dont see this doing the damage they want it to. Would have been far more effective the first time around. The debate going on in the mind of moronic swing voters this time around is his record as President vs. a Biden presidency. .
Yawn. Another day, another NYT lie.
And 5 weeks before election, imagine that.
What really pisses me off about the article are all the references to Russia while admitted the tax info they’ve reviewed showed no links to Russia.
Like this: “Mr. Trumps elaborate dance and defiance have only stoked suspicion about what secrets might lie hidden in his taxes. Is there a financial clue to his deference to Russia and its president, Vladimir V. Putin?”
At the same time, they say no links in taxes to Russia.
This smells of illegality.
So did the IRS....
Someone needs to go to jail. Find the person who did this.
He paid 750 dollars, two years in a row. That’s good money!
IOWs, the source who provided the information was breaking the law by providing it to the Times, the Times knew this and participated in the criminal release of the information. Sounds like a criminal conspiracy to me.
Maybe its just a lie in hopes to force the real tax returns
The article doesn’t allege Trump committed any crime.
There are the normal “my accountant says” vs “irs thinks”.
One new thing that I learned in the article. A Congressional committee is required to approve any tax refund in excess of $2 million for an individual tax return.
I wonder if people on that Congressional committee provided financial docs to NYT.
Reagan changed the tax laws and many write offs went away.
How much income tax you pay, is a function of your balls, your tax accountants and the tax laws in place at the time.
But did he deduct his long-johns?
