Lee Atwater saw them as potential Republican voters and encouraged them to vote in the early 90s.

This is only the 2nd time the Amish have endorsed a Presidential Candidate. The first time was for Presidential Candidate Trump.
:P
So glad they are still on the Trump-Pence Team!

They vote. For the first time ever I’m seeing political signs in their yards in western PA. They’re for Trump.

I thought the Amish, like Mennonites, didnt vote.Where did you get that idea?
Have you every talked with an Amish person?
Most are very engaged and all most everyone is very conservative.
Wonderful craftsman and they produce the absolute best hand made cherry wood furniture.
I bought a special order roll-top cherry wood desk from the Amish, 20 years ago, and it gets more beautiful as the wood ages.
They love Trump.

They vote. They just don’t drive cars to the polling places. GOP volunteers often drive the Amish to where they vote. I understand that was a big deal in 2016.

I saw that sign on the side of the cart, and had to LOL!
My little nephew made a button for me with that on it.

I doubt these were all Amish, but it is great marketing and outreach by the Trump campaign.

We attended a Trump rally in Southern PA in 2016. There were quite a few Amish folks there.
Someone should tweet this video to Trump’s Twitter feed. It is neat!

They didn’t but they can SEE the difference and it’s important to them.
God vs NO GOD
Babies vs ABORTION
Peace vs WARS
feel free to add to the list
Are these Amish or Mennonites?
To: TakebackGOP
There were only maybe 1 or 2 actual horse & buggy folk. The rest were imitations.
Most do not vote.
To: NorthstarMom
Neither of them don’t vote. Amish and Mennonites delivered Pennsylvania to Trump in 2016

No tougher than it was 100 years ago.
The kids get home schooled. There is no TV, no radio, no internet to propagandize them. They introduce the children to farm work at a very early age and the kids are keen to learn. I've seen a thirteen year old Mennonite boy run a saw mill with his two younger brothers while his father looked on with pride.
They know how to live.

To PB and T&T......What evidence do you have that, except for a few, these were NOT Amish in the parade?
