There's a reason why Rush is wondering if Biden is ever seen at night
American Thinker ^ | Andrea Widburg

By now, it's the worst kept secret in the world that Joe Biden is having cognitive difficulties. He's tethered to a teleprompter, is fed only pre-approved questions, and speaks in short increments to friendly audiences. Rumors are floating about that his dementia is quite advanced. Rush Limbaugh came up with a theory that suggests that those rumors are correct.

On Sunday, Thomas Lifson reprinted a post that's been circulating on the internet. It purports to come from a former Biden staffer who quit the campaign and cannot keep quiet about Biden's mental incompetence. Briefly, it says Biden has advanced dementia and that the medicine he takes for it causes incontinence. Although the post accurately describes Biden's behavior and his brief appearances, an anonymous author means that it has dubious utility.

Rush Limbaugh, however, has noticed another piece in the puzzle, and this one yields to empirical evidence rather than firsthand knowledge. This is the fact that, other than the long-ago Democrat debates and his acceptance speech (which may have been live, rather than prerecorded), Biden is never seen at night. In that regard, he is the "un-vampire."

Indeed, most of Biden's appearances are early in the day. He may do this because he tires easily and, by afternoon, is running on empty. Rush, though, posits that Biden may be suffering from sundowning, something strongly associated with dementia in the elderly, especially with Alzheimer's. Sundowning is so named because it consistently appears as the sun is setting.

I've seen this firsthand with both my parents, neither of whom had Alzheimer's but both of whom sundowned badly as they developed age-related dementia. What I learned was that, for the people sundowning, the illusions are real. These are not nightmares from which they can awaken.

There still seems to be a question of if they will be live or by video...

The only way Joe's handlers would allow the debates will be pre-recorded. No way they are going to let the whole Country see slow-Joe melt down live and in HD.

The only way the 'rats and their MSM lapdogs can continue to prop up slow-Joe is to give each candidate the questions a couple of days in advance and let them pre-record their answers. Joe's team will need time to script his answers, prop him up in front of a camera and teleprompter, and then no-doubt it'll require several takes for each answer. Once they have enough material they can begin editing it together to make slow-Joe appear reasonably aware and on the ball.

Are you seriously saying that Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham are examples of Republicans who will lead the party post Trump?

The only one who can replace Trump is Trump.

Either Trump Jr. or Eric.

I can’t see going back to Kinder and Gentler like we did with Papa Bush after Reagan.

Rush is doing better and better. Last week, IIRC, was “treatment week” for him. When he first started his treatments, he would miss the whole week, but he always said he was trying to get back by Thursday, and Friday at the latest.

After several times of no Rush for a whole week, he was able to manage returning on Fridays, then a few more weeks and he started making it in on Thursdays.

So last week was another Thursday return. He sounds good and strong. I don’t have a subscription, I just listen on the radio, so I can’t tell you how he looks. Only how he sounds. He sounds stronger and better with each passing day.

He has his treatment every 3 weeks, I think. That’s what it seems like to me, but I also lose track of time. I think he’s in studio for 2 weeks, has his treatment on the third week, and is gone most of that week. Then the count starts over again.

They are leading the party now

Neither understands the threat on the left and both are prime examples of why our nation is in trouble. Country club, Chamber of Commerce statists like them are relics of the past. The political energy on the right lies with populism and nationalism, and not with the three piece suit set.

Thank you. I am glad to hear that he can do the show. It sounded so deadly at the time that I thought it was a matter of weeks or months. I am glad he is fighting hard

“Discussed here a week ago. FR still part of his show prep. Without attribution, of course.”

I’ve noticed that over the years. I really like Rush, but that is bad form. I’m sure Larry Elder and Hugh Hewitt do it as well. I don’t listen to Prager very much, but I think he would give attribution.

I agree and most can see this with the exception of a few stoggie clingers.

Sure, do you listen to the show? I think he functions, and that’s why he has his treatments scheduled the way he does.

Biden spoke at and appeared at night at the DNC. We can go too far portraying Biden as senile. He is far more capable — through stimulants or whatever — than people now think. We shouldn’t lower the bar so low that he can step over it at the debates.
