The only good Seattle band is Alice in Chains.
I agree with you about the Grateful Dead.
They were before my time but, for curiosity, I listened to some of their songs on Spotify. I was not impressed. I don’t understand why they are so celebrated.
I do like one of their songs: “Morning Dew”.
Actually, they didn’t write “Morning Dew”, Canadian Folk Singer Bonnie Dobson wrote it. Their cover of the song was good, IMO.
The Dead are definitely overrated. I’m going to name another overrated band. Like you, I am probably risking my life, or definitely some angry posts when I name the band.
IMO, the band, “Rush” is overrated. There, I said it . (Ducking my head)
You'll get no argument from me there.
I do enjoy much of the Grateful Dead's music, though. I can't stand the jammy, psychedelic stuff, but their acoustic stuff and covers are great. (Give the album American Beauty a listen sometime if you haven't heard it.) They started out as a jug band and Jerry Garcia was a bluegrass guy at heart.
At least Rush has a handful of marquis song are damn good, Sunbuvisions and Manhatten Project come to mind. “All the brightest boys with all the biggest toys”
I used to think that guy had a brain. Now, he had to open his mouth and remove all doubt.
Who is he.
Isn't he the child actor playing the kid on the Addams Family?
Eddie Vedder? Lead singer of rock group Pearl Jam.
