THE DAILY MAIL reported: BILL STEVENSON, Jill's ex-husband, claims he and his then wife Jill met Biden in 1972, when they worked on then-New Castle County Councilman Biden's first campaign for the Senate. At the time Biden was married to his first wife Neilia. Stevenson said he first suspected Biden and Jill were having an affair in August 1974; He was then 26, Jill was 23 and Joe was 31 'One of her best friends told me she thought Joe and Jill were getting a little too close,' he said. That October 1974 he got confirmation when a man informed him Biden was driving his wife's car and the two of them got into a fender bender. Stevenson said: 'I asked Jill to leave the house, which she did... I considered Joe a friend. I'm not surprised he fell in love with Jill."
Nelia was drunk and driving home with their daughter on her lap and the boys in the back, when she drove into the path of a truck. Joe's boys ended up in the hospital and his wife and baby girl were buried.
Biden repeatedly stated at campaign rallies that Curtis C. Dunn, the truck driver involved in wife Neilia Hunter Biden's fatal automobile accident - who saved 2 of his children, and tried to save his wife and daughter Naomi (1971-1972), was driving while intoxicated (DWI). Initially it was believed he said this to elicit sympathy, but an investigation revealed he did it to deflect suspicion from his wife being the one who was DWI. Biden then had a close Irish friend and neighbor, Chief Deputy Delaware Attorney General JEROME O. HERLIHY, cover up the mess and save his political career. O. HERLIHY destroyed Delaware State records which indicated Neilia was intoxicated such as a post mortem toxicology test or made sure one was never performed on Neilia's corpse. Politico reported the Delaware State Police file also destroyed. O. HERLIHY never kept a personal copy of the file despite its historical significance. These missing documents and O. HERLIHY playing dumb, along with the fact that the Delaware State's Attorney General's office, which the Biden family controlled, ran the investigation, rather then the Delaware State Police, are the most compelling evidence of a cover-up.
