Protesters say they were met with guns at Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best's home

SEATTLE — Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said a “large group of aggressive protestors” targeted her house late Saturday night in Snohomish County.

Protesters that were there that night said they are disappointed in Chief Best’s letter. They said they disagree that they were aggressive, and instead, said the aggressors were the neighbors Best praised.

“All we were doing was walking and they met us with guns, I don’t know who the aggressor is at that point, but I don't think it's us,” said Nicole Gitaka, a demonstrator with “Every Day March.”

Gitaka and her fellow protesters said less than 100 people went to the Shonomish County neighborhood and that they did not go there to destroy or cause trouble -- they wanted to ask the chief some questions regarding the Black Lives Matter movement in Seattle and the police departments use of crowd control measures.

This is a follow-up to the previous post about protests being stymied at Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best's home. It's clear now the neighbors stepped up and stopped any trouble from happening.

The locals blocked a road and didn't let the protesters get to the house. Irony: the protesters complained bitterly about someone blocking a road.

You're an idiot if you believe that. Look what your "peaceful" protestors have done to the city of Portland. What a crock...

You went to someone’s home to threaten and intimidate them. The locals let you know with their guns that they weren’t having it. Good for them. There needs to be a lot more of that when Klantifa thugs try their Brownshirt tactics.

Hilarious.

Lucky they didn’t get their butts shot.

Head out to intimidate the Police Chief?

Might want to think about that little tactic.

We were just going to ask some questions, really Officer. Just a few questions.

“I don’t know who the aggressor is at that point, but I don’t think it’s us,”

An intellectually dishonest statement nullifying every word that comes out of it’s mouth.

But, but, Officer, we just had these molotov cocktails to use to light our way in the dark so we wouldn’t get lost and scared.

>>Gitaka and her fellow protesters said less than 100 people went to the Shonomish County neighborhood and that they did not go there to destroy or cause trouble<<

Liar.

Tell that to the couple that defended their home from a “peaceful crowd” that ripped out a doorway and clearly meant to destroy their home.

blm is properly titled “burn, loot and murder.”

You don’t have 100 people show up at someone’s home to ask questions. Not only is that not the time and place for it, but 100 people is intimidating and disturbing the peace of a residential neighborhood. A City Council would have told them the appropriate way to get their questions answered during regular office hours.

and, judging by past behavior, what would the “protesters” have done if the community had not defended their neighbor - the chief???

“Tell that to the couple that defended their home from a “peaceful crowd” that ripped out a doorway”

Being Seattle, I’m surprised the local prosecutor isn’t drawing up charges against the defenders now.
