This is exactly what the Soviet Union would do. If you did not adhere to the party line, you lost your job and your place to live. China certainly does not allow dissent. You can quickly disappear in China for saying the wrong thing.

I’m a retired career labor lawyer; and I echo both your comments. You CAN normally fire people for any or no reason (with the noted exceptions of decisions based on race, sex, religion, race, national origin, age [over 40], disability or perceived disability, or union or other protected concerted activity. But should you? You can buy yourself a lot of unneeded EEOC/NLRB charges and litigation exprenses by doing so, even if you eventually win. Unless you have a union contract (or personal contract), firings can be for no cause - except in Montana, the only state with a general “just cause” requirement for firings/layoffs.
Private businesses should be able to fire people for whatever reason they want. It may not be nice, but not nice shouldn’t mean illegal. Let them have nothing but BLM-supporting employees and see how much work gets done.

Thanks for your post. The takeaway is to not hire those folks in the first place (other than the protected classes you mentioned). It’s much easier to not hire them than to have to fire them later. With social media, one can now usually get a sense of a person’s politics before the hiring decision is made.
In addition, most of them are physically weak and pudgy (especially the females).
I've started to refer to them as "Jellies".

What they fail to realize is that if they think it acceptable to fire those that support Trump, then it would be equally alright to fire those who do not support Trump. But, apparently they do not have the mental ability to think critically to see that possibility.

I’d like such a survey to include a Standard IQ Test, and show the IQ average of result groups.
And people who support Trump in positions to do the hiring don’t have to hire whacky millenial liberals either.
