I stand corrected.
Most people don’t know this has been going on in the NW since the 90’s.
Obama used them to flip Oregon from Purple to hard core radical in less than 20 years.
I said back then it would look like a Godzilla movie
They should be shot on sight. Hell with tear gas. They should be using mustard gas.
Dogs, fire hoses and hickory shampoos would have stopped the riots the week they started.
We visited Seattle in early September 2019 for several days as the port of Seattle was where our Alaskan cruise ship embarked and returned. We stayed at a nice hotel downtown and saw the Space needle, market and other sights, all very nice. I went to the Macy’s near the hotel to get some items I forgot to pack. Now, Macy’s is closed due to downsizing and the downtown area is trashed, sad.
They could put this down easily....they refuse to...it’s really that simple.
Amendment 1 guarantees the people the right to "peaceably assemble and petition the government".
That is not what is happening.
These "protests" are laughable. This is nothing but an insurrection and the Federal Government has a responsibility to end it.
And we get a tweet war.
Same goes for Oregon (Portland, Eugene etc.); Utah (Salt Lake); California (The Coast); And so it goes throughout the US where the 100 largest cities are run by 69 RAT and 24 GOP Mayors.
There is very likely a lot more trouble ahead.
Obvious it’s all gone the “Ferguson way” we saw several years ago.....violent people doing what violent people do.
Exactly so. Downtown is still a plywood jungle. Property values in the combat zone up the hill will plummet along with rents. Businesses will flee as lease terms allow.
Reality bites. People who live in the combat zone have had their lives turned upside down. Meanwhile, protest outside a council member's house...or the Mayor's...that's unacceptable.
Police in Seattle authorize new game Pop a Looter.
trying to put out fires while he stands with and supports these violent protesters....
“Just watch the employers and service providers leave for Texas!”
The problem is they will vote for the same kinds of people in Texas as they elected in Seattle and Portland.
Sad but true. I live in a suburb in SE King County. We had the brainless BLM rallies for a few weekends but they stopped. Now every weekend we have a "We Support the Blue" rally at a major intersection next to the Sheriff's HQ.
The liberal rabies from Seattle has spread to the King County Council. They attempted to put safe shoot up zones in the county but have failed for now. Just passed a resolution to change the status of the Sheriff from elected to appointed. That would affect the status of the Sheriff's Dept as well as our city police, as they are contracted with the Sheriff's Dept. It will be on the ballot.
There's no real way to communicate among conservatives. On one local website, mynorthwest.com, the Left was enduring brutal beatdowns until comments were shut off. All local websites have shut off comments. There are a lot of us out here.
It seems to me that's the first step to take back the county, a way to connect.
IMO it’s not just Californians, it’s young, hip techies whose first job pays $100k plus. Fresh out of college with no life experiences to dilute their wokeness.
