If it was in broad daylight, right in front of his own shop, it seems unlikely to have been a case of mistaken identity or gang violence. It sounds like a brutal murder targeting a man for his political views.

My MAGA hat stays in the closet, and I would be crazy to have a Trump bumper sticker on my car. The chances of the car being vandalized would be about 98%.

The article describes him as a Rasta street preacher. I have nothing against them, but I don't think Rastafaris are orthodox Christians, but regard themselves as a unique sect. Their Bible includes books not included in any other Christian Bible, and they embrace a lot of legends surrounding Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. I believe they also retain some of the Jewish dietary prohibitions, such as avoiding pork.
