Norman citizens are uniting to make sure their voices are heard after city leaders cut $865,000 from the police department’s budget.
“You’re not helpless. For so long it seems like we were all helpless at the whims of the people in office, but now we’re awake,” Unite Norman leader Russell Smith said.
Smith told KOCO 5 that the group has raised closed to $50,000 in just 48 hours and is working to file a petition to recall Mayor Breea Clark and eligible city council members.

In order to absorb this $865,000 budget cut, I suggest that the Norman Police Department eliminate all patrols and responses to calls in a geographical area centered around Mayor Breea Clark’s residence. Expand it out as far as necessary to compensate for the cuts but be sure and announce the exact boundaries of this police-free zone.
Reading the headline, I thought it odd that Norman Mailer was back in the news.

I knew some Norman cops back in the 90s. One lived next door to us - an undercover officer - and another was my 2nd daughter’s godfather.
No, Norman is in the central portion of the state, just south of OKC. It is the town hosting OU. Hence the “woke” crap going on...
I’ve taught several LEO classes in Norman and the surrounding area over the years. Sad to hear the commies have even invaded there.

My point was that OKC is not included in the recent ruling concerning criminal prosecution of native American child rapists.

Universities have become a curse. Government should get out of education at all levels. Privatize all of it, and people will find education to fit their needs rather than having to take the propaganda foisted on us by the left.

Norman has grown quite a bit. Population is now a about 130,000. Being home to U. of Oklahoma, it has it’s share of leftist lunatics.
This is the mayor’s response to the petition drive and it’s all lies. She let BLM thugs take over a city council meeting that dragged on for 13 hours while she hugged them and cried. Then she cut the police budget.

And if a crime is committed on Tribal land..it will be settled in Tribal Court.
Most tribes..and I belong to one...don't have much land in Tribal Trust.
