It will be somewhat higher because of fearmongering, and some of the extreme actions taken. Fear itself can make you sick. Lack of social interaction can weaken people's immune system. It's partially psychological. Your mind can make you sick as a dog if you are convinced of it.
Faucci should appear on TV with one of those “plague doctor” things on his head that looks like a giant black bird’s head. That would really scare a lot more of the sheep into submission.

The Spanish flu was caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus. It infected 500 million people worldwide. The death toll is typically estimated to have been somewhere between 17 million and 50 million. It has been estimated that it killed about 675,000 Americans at a time when our population was less than a third of what it is now.
Variations of the influenza virus can be a lot worse than what we're used to in our lifetimes.
I would like to know the average number of deaths in the US from Jan - June for the last ten years, and the number for this year.
That is my sentiment as well. I know three people who have had it that were sick, but not deathly so. How many other viruses do you know where statistics were kept, and breathlessly reported by the media with their requisite hyperventilation? And the statistics reported were vastly overstated by ridiculous reporting rules and where hospitals were paid big money to over-report? Not to mention quarantining young, healthy people who are almost at no risk in order to drive the economy down? And if they really wanted to understand the disease and risks, why has antibody testing NOT already been rolled out on a massive scale?
So few think for themselves these days.

Tell it to the doctors and health care workers who disagree and have watched patients die from a disease they have never seen before.
Maybe 2 weeks ago some FREEPER posted an article that looked at year over year deaths between 2018/19/20. If I recall it found that if you took out the NY/NJ nursing home deaths there was no bump between years. That seemed to say to me that Covid was a thing but a thing that went after the compromised.
Why do people have to polarize themselves like this? Its like their brains are incapable of nuance. C-19, it is what it is, but the media is definitely hyping the crap out of if for political and ratings purposes. Neither is it a scam though. Its real, I've known too many people who have gone through it to think otherwise.
The reason why this so-called confusion of this virus having so many symptoms, new ones discovered every couple days, is “they” are attaching COVID19 to more and more other causes of death that are not this virus. That way they can keep this “its all Trumps fault thing” running through the election.
This is how dangerous Trump is to the global communist totalitarians that have been worked for hundreds of years to finish off the world that HIllary was assigned to do.
Hundreds of years and untold hundreds of millions of lives - all for nothing all because of Trump and us voters.
