Native American leaders in the San Francisco area are upset that city leaders decided to remove a statue of Christopher Columbus that was targeted by Black Lives Matter riots, because indigenous leaders were not consulted or present.
As Breitbart News reported earlier this month, the City of San Francisco preemptively removed a prominent Columbus statue that rioters had targeted for destruction. They intended it to drag it to the San Francisco Bay and throw it in there.
However, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, while Native American leaders were pleased to see the statues of Columbus and other early colonial figures, such as St. Junipero Serra, removed, they are upset it was done without them:

Of course everyone remembers being taught in school of the landing of the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria in what is now the San Fransisco harbor and the carnage the crew of those 3 ships perpetrated against the native people there in 1492. The liars and posers want you to think he landed in the Bahamas which was really alcatraz island as he passed by. /S
At an annual faculty conference a few years back, an African-American woman was giving an hour-long presentation on how the college was expanding its activity promoting diversity and inclusion, etc etc etc, at the end of which the first response was from a Native-American female who went on a five-minute rant on how the college was so unfeeling as to not include Native Americans in their diversity and inclusion. No one, least of all yours truly, pointed out to the Native American female that she herself was included in the diverse faculty of the college.
P.S. I have adjuncted for this college for almost two decades. During that time, I have had 12 deans and/or program directors as my supervisor, none of which has lasted more than two years. Ten demonstrated diversity and inclusion, which did not seem to help them during the purges.
Maybe we should make statues with spring bases. That way all the morons could have their turn knocking them down?
I was thinking retractable bases.
During protests/riots, the statues could retreat into their base.
Oh, yeah, I forgot. The sovereign nation crowd feels left out from the current victim hysteria. Didn’t your ancestors engage in war in which you tortured your enemies horribly? (On Wikipedia for all to see.)
So shut up, get off the booze, get a job, close the casinos and become a good American citizen.

Not racis at all just lacking. Booze is one of the favorite tonics around here for self-abuse by native americans but they do not limit themselves to that. Any drug or intoxicant will do it seems.

Do you want to re erect the statue, secure it good with duct tape so your Shaman can have the last word?
Get off the Res and become an America citizen like 95% of all the other Indians. For starters. Res wonders are 100% democrat and on the take.
