If the Covid numbers are correct, and our hospitals are under siege, then why would Baylor Health lay off over 1000 employees, including doctors and nurses?
Who is that guy going to believe, the Media or his lying eyes?
Layoffs are due to the lack of surgeries and healthcare other than The Kung Flu.

YEP! My son just graduated from Baylor Nursing - as had a job waiting for 3 months. First week was last week - got thru orientation and BOOM!!
Many people here have made this exact point. Only to have “experts” and “doctors in the field” show up and “explain” that we don’t know what we’re talking about and the numbers are absolutely correct.
Lotta fear-mongering.
I’d like PDJT to drive this point home...it is about my only complaint.
Wimpy Abbott drove the last nail in the healthcare industry’s coffin and he’s trying to decimate the economy before the Fourth of July. To say he’s a useful idiot for Texas enemies is being too kind.
I have friends who work in these hospital systems in Houston. They said you wouldn’t believe the number of doctors who are loud liberal activists.
So, curiosity got me & looked around on Twitter. Oh yea. They were really pushing the “Houston is overrun with Covid” narrative.
Some were blatant lies and completely contradicted by other doctors & the hospital CEOs the next day.
I found at least 3 docs who allowed BLM to take over their Twitter last week in some sort of homage to them.
That’s just what I could find.
Also, I was informed that the CEOs had told Abbott that they weren’t overrun and had plenty of capacity. Then he sort of announces as much. Then the CEOs immediately took to the media, talking about Houston at the tipping point and all sorts of other hysterical nonsense.
Made Abbott look dishonest and incompetant. Pissed him off.
So he starts pulling the elective procedures again and about the time he announces that(the CEOs had just been told... well suddenly they came out with that presser Thursday saying capacity was just fine and that they were misinterpreted by the media and public.
Which is total bull. They were just trying to save face and save their elective procedures. Serves them right.
One of my best friends father was a CEO of texas hospitals many years and is retired now but he’s a huge Trump supporter. He said he doesn’t think the CEOs personal politics are as much at play as trying to appease their donors. He said follow the money.
Just sharing a little of what I know...

The medical schools have been taken over by leftists and therefore you have the leftist medical associations. Our late 30’s neighbors told me last week that they were going to have to re-evaluate their friendships and that they were so surprised that their “doctor friends” had such leftist views. When I heard so much about “public health” and that all the medical schools wanted their applicants to do a couple of years of “community service” before they applied or could be accepted, I knew there was now a political agenda for MD’s.
Or we could take the information and advice provided by FL Gov. Ron DeSantis to put it into perspective: the availability of tests has increased substantially, more people are being tested, and more people are coming back positive for the antibodies.
The increase in numbers indicates that testing is more widespread and more people had or have the virus than previously suspected. Testing positive for antibodies is NOT an indicator of an ability to infect others. Just because I test positive for Hepatitis after receiving the vaccine doesn't mean I can infect someone with it. It just means the antibodies are present in my system.
I think the more important numbers to watch are the death counts. How many people are DYING from COVID? Those numbers are much lower and declining on the whole.
Take note: if an effective vaccine becomes available, this whole charade will suddenly vanish. The "number of infected" will skyrocket, because antibodies are present in the systems of those who were inoculated. But a vaccine won't be available until after the Dems sweep the election in November, because we all know the skies will clear, the seas will calm, and life will return to normal the day after that happens.
I keep searching and asking about the medical term Positivity...I can not find one so far.

While I agree that if you test more you will find more,this article mentions a deliberate manipulation. Example: if you are admitted with appendicitis but also test for Wuhanflu, you are a wuhanflu patient.
Thats just wrong.
