NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has admitted that they were wrong in the way they handled Colin Kaepernick's protest against police brutality of black people, which ultimately led to the quarterback to be without a club.
The NFL has been locked in an ongoing debate with players over kneeling protests during the national anthem before the start of games, a practice popularised by quarterback Kaepernick in 2016 to protest racial injustice and police brutality.
Kaepernick filed a grievance against the league in 2017, claiming collusion as no teams signed him after he parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers. The NFL and Kaepernick settled in 2019.

Just when I was considering becoming a fan again...oh well, I really didn’t miss them much anyway.
Hopefully people will turn off games especially on days such as Thanksgiving and return to the basics of what is important.

And I demand that the NFL and their TV partners STOP broadcasting the National Anthem before games.
I went from watching the NFL quite religiously to watching the WWE when I heard the WWE is extremely patriotic and plays the National anthem very LOUD before each show with all the wrestlers standing, and they do. I went to a show last year and it was just like that. I don’t care if the wrestling is fake, the kids love it and I will never watch the NFL again.

Right now people are finding others uses for their time instead of watching hours of commercials interrupted by brief intervals of bread & circuses. Just as commercials see certain minorities as the best targets because they are among the last demographic that even watches regular TV, sports are realizing the same thing.
For all of its shortcomings, soccer still only has commercials at halftime.
And yet come September the NFL cult will post thread after thread about the the league and their baby brothers, the collegiate SJWs.

Got no dog in that hunt. I think I’ve only watched maybe ten complete football games in my life.
I won’t miss it but I hope every red white and blue American who does like the game takes a principled stand and refuses to support them at all.
I wonder if I would become as stupid as the NFL representatives if I were to actually start watching football again?
