Trump vows complete end of Obamacare law despite pandemic
New York Times via MSN ^ | 5/7/20 | Devlin Barrett

President Trump said Wednesday he will continue trying to toss out all of the Affordable Care Act, even as some in his administration, including Attorney General William P. Barr, have privately argued parts of the law should be preserved amid a pandemic.

“We want to terminate health care under Obamacare,” Trump told reporters Wednesday, the last day for his administration to change its position in a Supreme Court case challenging the law. “Obamacare, we run it really well. . . . But running it great, it’s still lousy health care.”

While the president has said he will preserve some of the Affordable Care Act’s most popular provisions, including guaranteed coverage for preexisting medical conditions, he has not offered a plan to do so, and his administration’s legal position seeks to end all parts of the law, including those provisions.

Now maybe Barr will shut up and do what he's told.

$1400 monthly premiums and $8000 annual deductibles are not “affordable”.

ACA = POS

I know. But this time it could happen if the Supreme Court does it's job. The only feature that made it constitutional in Roberts' eyes before has been repealed. The whole thing could fold when the Supreme Court rules in June of next year.

So now the media has a quote from DJT: “We want to terminate health care under Obamacare.” No doubt they will use the quote against him.

Dream on Mr President, it will NEVER be repealed. I know my friend David Horowitz personally told you my plan to END Obamacare and you even floated the idea once, which immediately led to the Personal Mandate being repealed by Congress.

If you really want it ended, Sign an EXECUTIVE ORDER Mandating ALL Non Military Federal Employee’s sign up for and enroll in the Affordable Care Act as their their Primary Health Care Provider, Take ALL the Money that was being used for these inferior and expensive plans for Federal Employee’s and Divert it to the Wall.

CONgress will Repeal the entire law within 30 days if you do this.

Doesn't have to be repealed. If the Supreme Court rules for the state's attorney generals then all of Obamacare is struck down as unconstitutional. It's gone and no congressional action is needed.

No kidding. I was one of those that didn’t live at the docs office. Then the few times I have had to go - wow. I’m walking out asking why I pay this frickin premium every month only to pay even more when I see the doc.

Obamacare is unconstitutional. Whether or not some parasite likes having hard-working neighbors pay for their medical care is irrelevant. Unconstitutional laws have to be repealed or otherwise overturned. As far as I’m concerned, good riddance. This was a shockingly terrible and evil law that harmed people I know and slows medical research and progress, not just a violation of the enumerated powers, and I will celebrate when it finally dies.

said, "You are spooky"

What i'm learning about right now spooks me. Natural extinction events and major destruction events associated with their frequencies. Which is what the bible, Hinduism, Shintoism and so on all wrote about. In one case all to the same date and what happened. The "day of the dead" we call Halloween

Obamacare is unconstitutional.

And the Supreme Court should confirm that sometime next year in their Texas, et.al. v. US decision.

Unconstitutional laws have to be repealed or otherwise overturned.

Repeal isn't going to happen, and if it did then it would be done with conditions and timelines that would keep Obamacare going until a "replacement" is passed. If the Supreme Court strikes it down then it's dead immediately. Subsidies stop. Pre-existing coverage ends. Exchanges cease. Coverage for kids stops. And your celebration begins.

Two sentences appear to conflict each other:

President Trump said Wednesday he will continue trying to toss out all of the Affordable Care Act, . . .
. . the president has said he will preserve some of the Affordable Care Act’s most popular provisions . .

If ObumerCare is ended, the only way to preserve the popular provisions is by passing another health care act through Congress. Good luck with that.

ALL of Kenyan Care is JUNK. There are no great aspects of it. The problem is that it is a political sh*t sandwich that the GOP bought. The GOP is sooooo scared of what the media and the DNC politicians say that they are basically proponents of socialized medicine.

The ACA has zero-decimal-zero healthcare. It is an IRS enforced funding stream to the DNC coffers with the insurance agencies as their smokey back room agreed mule taking their cut.
