still not as bad as a bad flu season, why is this only an issue now?

That’s where NYC buries bums and homeless. They have for decades.

Potter’s field in a city of 10 million. True that and with a death rate of around 200 per day on average in NYC; one wonders how many are destitute who would end up in a mass burial like this anyway. At least they get their own pine box.
An even better question is why aren't these bodies being cremated if they are so riddled with disease?

The city corrections department has used inmates to bury the Big Apples anonymous and unclaimed dead for 150 years.
Fake news.

From what I read, it’s tearing through the illegal alien population like the ‘85 Bears.
There likely won’t be any family to claim them and they’re certainly not going to foot the bill to bring the body back where they belong.

You could show pictures of hundreds of dead people lying on 5th Avenue and the psychopaths would still rationalize arguments to get what they want.

Yep, “unclaimed bodies” they call them. They average around 20+ a day, so this is just a typical day in NYC.

I wonder what percentage of “COVID-19” deaths are from street homeless, who are exposed, and not in the best of health even in good times.
Plus in cold weather, they hang out in the subway, which is a prime place to get exposed.

There have been more than a million burials on Hart Island over the years. Trenches had been reused after 50 years, may explain why the soil looks so rich.
It's been used for other unpleasantries.

Bullchit. People with family don’t get thrown into a mass grave unless people are dying by the hundreds of thousands. They aren’t. This is like that stupid truck trailer interior picture. It showed 8 body bags in a city of many millions like it was something special.

That is not true. Once a family member leaves home for the hospital the family will not see them again unless the ill person recovers. There is no retrieval of a body. Next step is a memorial service not a funeral. No body is available. Either cremated or buried without family around.
First hand info from someone whose family died in NYC.

You are a true Fearbro. And what is it that the "psychopaths" want? Freedom? The ability to live our lives, unfettered by the unconstitutional dictates that hand-wringing fear-mongers like you seem to support?

Excellent question. I saw a documentary years ago (2018?) where scientists were trying to find remnants of the 1918 Spanish flu to investigate it's lethality.
The only place they could find where it might exist was an "Eskimo" tribe cemetery, and IIRC, the tribe elders refused to give them access, fearing another outbreak.

The simple pine coffins are a real throw-back to the 19th century.
