I was under the impression that they isolated them in this isolation chamber for the flight home. They didn't show any of the passengers in the earlier photos. Guess we know why now. Sure looks like criminal conduct to me.

There is no reason why we cannot - could not - quickly prepare isolation/quarantine for our citizens exposed to disease overseas and bring them back, as soon as we suspected that a very unusual and dangerous problem existed. We have the science, money and resources, and the good human will to do that.
It doesn’t appear that we were prepared for this. We may have sections of government that are either not in proper communication with one another; and we may have individuals who are willing to sacrifice public health for political purposes. But we should have protocols and facilities in place for the management of something like this.
I’m hoping that this winds up being less alarming than many here believe it to be; but also that we LEARN something from it - especially if, as many seem to believe, this disease entity was a manipulated one; because if that’s the case, there will only be more of them.
(Speaking personally, if I were one of the people on that ship - or someone in the US who loved someone on the ship and cared about them - I would want them back in the US as soon as possible. And I would expect that the Greatest Country in the World would have the resources to effect that in a way that was as safe as humanly possible for everyone.)
I’m not so ‘germophobic’ that I’m afraid to allow my countrymen back home just because they may have a disease. It doesn’t seem human to just leave them alone and waving in the wind in what may be a more backward foreign country.
I think we should be prepared for something like this; and obviously we have not been properly prepared.
Maybe this will teach us something.

Our USPHS must appoint all professionals as uniformed officers and all technical support staff must be made subordinate enlisted ranks to assure due diligence and respect is given to their authority as exists in all of the other uniformed services.
