The only way that Dems would declare this as a ‘FAIL TRIAL’ is if the Senate convicted Trump to remove him from office.
Any other outcome will lead to what DEms are saying now, Trump was a illegitimate POTUS and this is an illegitimate trial which means there was NO trial.
All this long drama and pain bought SEnate RINOs like Mitt NOTHING.

I believe President Trump will find a way to make this SOTU speech even— maybe even because of— the circumstances brilliant and one for the ages. The fact that he is sure to be acquitted and exonerated the very next day will make it even more heroic and epic. You just know he has a plan and will rise to the occasion as all great statesmen do.

The defense team should respond with quotes from the article from Politico that when Clinton was impeached Biden said they didn’t need to hear from witnesses.
Wish there was a way to get that article to defense team.
